Michael Demkiw grew up in a typical New York family before moving to South Florida, where he watched his family run several successful businesses. Although those businesses performed well, they also faced financial challenges that impacted the family’s finances.

Witnessing these ups and downs taught Michael valuable lessons. He realized that if his family could make financial mistakes, anyone could. He also learned that thoughtful planning leads to better outcomes.

For over 30 years, Michael has worked across various sectors within the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, and wealth management. Through each role, he gained insights that shaped his unique perspective on how to deliver meaningful value to his clients.

Because most people only get one opportunity to plan for retirement—and often wait until it’s just around the corner—Michael focuses on clients who are within 10 years of retirement. Many of them have been diligent savers but aren’t fully prepared for what it takes to sustain a retirement that can last 20 years or more.

Family and community keep Michael grounded. He lives in Cold Spring Harbor, New York, where he enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his dogs, kayaking, biking, and volunteering. He supports several meaningful causes by contributing both his time and resources, including:
